From November 24, 2025 to December 19, 2025, a student and faculty delegation from the University of Wollongong, Australia, completed an academic visit to China. Hosted by the Faculty of Business for Science and Technology and the EMBA Center of the School of Management at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), this program stands as one of the longest-duration international university delegations to visit USTC in the past three years. It also serves as a warm reciprocal visit following the USTC EMBA overseas module in Australia in early 2025.
During the program, the delegation embarked on a journey integrating culture and scientific and technological innovation, with Hefei as its core hub. For cultural immersion, participants experienced traditional Chinese culture through Chinese language classes, celadon tea art, calligraphy, paper-cutting, martial arts, as well as field trips to Hongcun Village and Huangshan Mountain. For technological and industrial visits, the delegation toured cutting-edge enterprises including NIO, Gotion High-Tech, and Zhixiang Future, alongside professional service institutions such as Antailexin and CCIC Tianwei. Through these visits, they gained firsthand insight into the robust strength of Made in China in intelligent manufacturing, power battery R&D, and AI technology applications, deepening their understanding of China’s industrial upgrading and high-quality development.
This exchange program embodies the USTC EMBA educational philosophy of Global Vision, Innovative Thinking, and Social Responsibility. It has not only offered Australian students a profound impression of China’s rich cultural heritage and rapid development, but also built a bridge for cross-cultural communication between Chinese and Australian youth, continuing the friendship between the two universities and enabling civilizations to thrive through mutual understanding.
