International Institute of Finance (IIF), University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a high-level collaborative innovation platform co-established through comprehensive strategic cooperation between Hefei Municipal People's Government and USTC. Guided by its educational mission of “Deep Data, Elevated World,” IIF takes finance, big data, internationalization and interdisciplinary studies as its core driving forces. It assembles first-class faculty, introduces cutting-edge concepts of financial innovation, cultivates high-end financial talents, builds a platform for financial innovation and entrepreneurship, develops a top-tier domestic financial think tank, and is committed to establishing a first-class and internationally renowned institute of finance in China.
IIF is located at No. 1789 Guangxi Road, Binhu New District, Hefei, standing at the core of Hefei Binhu International Financial Back-Office Service Base. The first phase of the project covers a land area of 41,500 square meters (approximately 62 mu), with a usable floor area of 15,000 square meters for teaching and office purposes. It consists of 8 buildings, divided into functional zones for scientific research, teaching, office work, accommodation, sports and cultural activities, as well as enterprise incubation. IIF was officially put into operation in September 2019.
IIF strives to nurture high-caliber, internationally-minded leading talents in management, and actively introduces global cutting-edge financial innovation concepts and practices to Hefei to drive the leapfrog development of regional finance. It is dedicated to becoming a key undertaking platform for the Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and a critical component of the construction of Hefei Science and Technology Innovation Center. Meanwhile, IIF provides academic and operational support for USTC's professional degree programs such as EMBA, MBA, MF and MEM, as well as non-degree training programs. It also facilitates the in-depth integration and development of industry-academia-research collaboration for USTC's “Double First-Class” disciplines. Grounded in these efforts, IIF consistently adheres to the orientation of serving national strategic needs and contributes to the high-quality economic and social development of the local region.
