The Postdoctoral Workstation at the International Institute of Finance was established in 2019 and gained national-level recognition in 2022.
I. Talent Attraction and Cultivation
Focusing on cutting-edge fields such as financial technology, risk management, and international finance, and leveraging the academic resources, we have attracted 36 outstanding postdoctoral fellows, including two international scholars. Since 2023, we have successfully recruited three full-time postdoctoral fellows. In 2024, the station was awarded a grant from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, marking a successful transition from part-time to full-time recruitment. Looking forward, we will focus on attracting and cultivating full-time postdoctoral fellows.
II. Research Services and Management
An attendance and travel reporting system is implemented. Through annual assessments of practical results, the efficiency of academic engagements is ensured. Researchers are encouraged and supported in participating in international academic exchanges and short-term training programs. For outstanding postdoctoral talents, opportunities are offered to advance to the position of long-term associate researcher at the institute.
In terms of government project applications, we have successfully completed over 30 submissions, securing corresponding subsidies and financial support that provide a solid financial foundation for our research activities. Notably, a provincial-level research project approved in 2023 has substantially advanced our postdoctoral fellows' patent applications.
III. Innovative Achievements and Social Services
Our research outcomes include patents, software copyrights, and academic papers. In the 2023 National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the team led by postdoctoral fellow reached the national finals for the first time, demonstrating our research team's innovative capabilities. In terms of cooperation between institutions and enterprises, we have established partnerships with entities like Huaan Securities and Industrial Bank, achieving resource sharing and mutual benefits. We are planning to establish a joint cooperation unit with Huishang Futures Workstation to expand our collaboration scope.
